May 2-6, 2022 | The goal of this camp is to have 3 days of lessons followed by a friendly competition and picnic on Friday. Thursday will be reserved as a make-up day. There may or may not be lessons on Thursday so please plan accordingly.

TIME: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
LOCATION: Miran Farm, 21500 Miran Farm Lane, Aldie, VA 20105

COST:
$275 per rider – NO REFUNDS

RIDERS:
2 groups with a maximum of 6 riders/group
You may bring a helper if you’d like; a TSRC liability waiver must be signed by that person and provided to Susan Payne

DESCRIPTION:

Camp will include: basic to advanced horsemanship skills; ranch riding patterns, games such as barrel racing and pole bending; trail/working equitation obstacles; cattle drive challenges. Each day will include a 90-minute lesson with cows and a 90-minute lesson focused on another western activity described above. One group of riders will start with the cows while the second group participates in the other lesson. After a short break, the groups will trade activities. Lessons will be tailored to the needs of the horses and riders in the group. This camp is intended to help riders safely improve their horsemanship skills while having FUN!

 FOOD/WATER

Bring a snack and drinks for yourself and your horse. STAY HYDRATED!

INCLEMENT WEATHER:

If the forecast is for severe weather on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, lessons may be rescheduled to Thursday. Otherwise, camp will happen RAIN or SHINE. Please be prepared to ride in the rain or wait out spring storms. Campers will be contacted if lessons are cancelled due to severe weather.

Please submit the following items to secure your spot for camp:
● A completed registration form (see link above)
● A copy of a current negative Coggins for the horse you will be riding
● A non-refundable check payable to Tri-State Riding Club in the amount of $275.
Your space will not be held if paperwork is missing.
